Animals, which sometimes include a human trait, therefore are patrons in my art. For the surface of my paintings I mostly use old lived wood or sometimes other natural materials. Intuitively, I tuck the shapes of the animals to the grain of the old wood. For optimal harmony I try the ruggedness and details, such as nail holes, knots and old paint to merge with the painted animals.
